Self-love, a concept that I once dismissed as cliché or even self-indulgent, has recently taken on a newfound importance in my life. It’s a journey that has transformed the way I see myself, the way I relate to others, and how I navigate the world. In the past, I often placed the needs and expectations of others above my own, but today, self-love has become an anchor, reminding me daily of my inherent worth.
Growing up, I was conditioned to believe that my value depended on external validation – my achievements, appearance, or the approval of others. I constantly sought affirmation from family, friends, and society, believing that their validation would fill the void within me. Yet, despite my best efforts to meet external standards, I often felt hollow and inadequate.

It has allowed me to embrace my true identity, find inner peace, and deepen my relationships. Self-love has empowered me to set healthy boundaries, prioritize self-care, and live authentically. It’s a journey that continues to unfold, reminding me every day that I am deserving of love and acceptance just as I am. Embracing self-love is not just about self-acceptance; it’s about living life as my authentic self, unapologetically and with pride.
